Benefits of Membership
Through your membership in Friends of Garden of the Gods (FOGG) you are contributing to the organization’s goal of Park preservation and enhancement. Categories of membership are available which allow you to choose your individual form of support; be it financial or as an active volunteer providing visitor services, or providing both. All members share in the benefits offered by FOGG. Members enjoy monthly email updates as well as the quarterly newsletter, The FOGGhorn. Additionally, members receive a 25% discount on merchandise at the Garden of the Gods Visitors Center gift shops, a 20% discount at Garden of the Gods Trading Post, use of the “Friends” library, special workshops and programs, social events, community and environmental involvement and the opportunity to discover new friends and new interests.
Camaraderie with other members is encouraged through participation in twice yearly retreats to notable area sites such as the recent tour of the Comanche Grasslands at Picket Wire, exploration of the Leadville mining district and guided nature hikes at Twin Lakes. If providing volunteer services to Park visitors is of interest to you click here to view the range of services supported by FOGG volunteers working in cooperation with Colorado Springs Park, Recreation, and Cultural Services. Where there is a volunteer, there is training offered by experts who are eager to share their knowledge and love of the Park with you. There is a program to meet every interest, especially yours!
